“ What a hidden treasure in the SGV. A small Thai restaurant that rivals all the Los Angeles greats. The flavors are powerful, the ingredients fresh, the preparations both comfortingly traditional and thrillingly creative. The Tom Kha Gai is a must, as are any of the curry or noodle dishes. I've ordered takeout and I'm impressed by how carefully the dishes are wrapped and how the food is as delicious as when it is sent to your table at the restaurant. In other words, the take-in service is as gracious and meticulous as the take-out service. Do not miss. ”
“ First time trying this place and the flavors did not disappoint. I loved all the food. We ordered the Crab Wontons, Chicken Pad See Ew, Fried Rice and Orange Chicken. The Chicken Pad See Ew was so filling and it paired perfectly with the Fried Rice. They had a good portion of food where we were able to serve four people. We loved how hot and ready everything was and how friendly the staff was. The restaurant felt so welcoming and it gave you the home feeling. I would have loved to stay and eat at the restaurant but it was easier to order to go. I will definitely return to try out other entrees and enjoy my dinner inside the restaurant. ”
“ Where else can you buy 4 boba drinks under 10$ in this economy? Obviously it's not the best drinks compared to your typical boba shop, but it is still a great value in this day in age. I came in just to buy drinks at the front since it's been a hot minute that I came. 10 years ago, 4 drinks were 5$ when bogo was 2.50 for two drinks including boba. Coming here was a nostalgia trip since I used to come by during Arroyo hs days. ”
“ GREAT FOOD! at a great price, good portions. Love going for the lunch special. Recommend the Drunken Noodle & Pad Thai. ”
“ i've been coming here since i was younger, as it's in the same plaza as my uncle's dentist ^___^ i lovvv the thai tea boba because it's not too sweet and tastes authentic to me. and pad thai and pad see ew are dishes that can't disappoint! lovely staff and pretty open space indoors -- would totally recommend! ”
“ This spot definitely offers some of the best curry dishes I've had and worth the visit. I ordered a Thai tea with boba, Thai satay, green curry along with their yellow curry. The boba was delicious and the satay was cooked/seasoned perfectly(my favorite dish). The curries were both great, bold flavor and both creamy. I recommend both and over rice, it's solid. I'd definitely come back to try their other menu items. Love the orange chicken & chicken curry lunch specials. ”
“ I loved coming to this place as a high schooler! They had cheap BOGO boba drinks. Food: 4/5 Came here for their lunch special. It did not disappoint. Their lunch special items came with salad, soup, wonton crisp, rice, and the entree. The green curry was spicy and flavorful. I love the fried eggplant they put in it. The Pad Thai was really good. I also liked their the salad dressing that came with their salad. Their combination fried rice was nothing special. I would recommend sticking to their lunch specials. I really like their drinks, the Thai iced coffee was strong and sweet. Price: 5/5 Their lunch special is only $10.99 for beef, chicken, or pork and like a dollar more for shrimp and seafood. Their drinks are probably the cheapest boba drinks you can find anywhere: 2 for $3.00. Service: 5/5 Great service, no wait, and food came out quick. Ambiance: 5/5 I am biased because I loved coming here as a teen. The nostalgia comes rushing back. But overall it's a quant little restaurant with plenty of seating. ”
“ My amiga highly recommend this Thai restaurant so we tried it out and it was yummy. Customer service was on point and the dishes we tried together was delicious we had chicken curry, papaya salad, and eggplant with chicken. I got the mango slush too! Great place to catch up with childhood friend. ”
“ At the current 3.5 average rating, I'd say it's pretty accurate, but it's easy to round up to a 4. Tucked away in the corner of a small plaza, behind BMC and Yoshinora is Chillin' Thai. They have been here for many years, and at first glance, it shows. The decor is pretty dated and the seats, tables legs show it's age. Menus have a sturdy cover, but the paper inside are ripped. If you can overlook all that, then you'll enjoy the food a bit more. They offer lunch specials with a decent portion at a good price. We tried their red curry and ground chicken with mint leaves specials, both typical dishes you'll find In any Thai restaurant. Each order comes with soup and a side salad. The salad was very refreshing, chilled to a nice temperature and served with a sweet dressing. The hot soup was also good, providing a contrast to the chilled salad. Our entrees were both good. I'm not saying they were excellent or authentic, but tasty enough for us to enjoy. We chose medium spice level for both, and they both came with a nice bit of heat. They also offer a BOGO seal for certain drinks, so we both got a Thai tea. During the weekday lunch hours, we were the first ones in, but a steady flow of customers rolled in shortly after. The friendliness of the servers made this a pleasant dining experience. For me, Chillin' Thai is a good place to grab a quick lunch at a great price. It does give off a small business, family owned vibe, and I love supporting businesses like this. ”
